The noise from the Trucks and the Cattle and such are nothing illegal.. Keep Calling the Sheriffs office though.. Im sure they are soooo happy to be taking time away from catching REAL Crime to come out and cater to some Crybabys ... you Gripe about the smell and the sounds but Remember that the next time You put on Your leather boots and bite down into that expensive steak.. hell even when ya sit down on those leather seats... Just a thought.. If ya dont like Living in the County.. Why not Move?? or better yet They could always move the Stockyard dead center of Berea!!! What a Concept.. a Cattle Broker actually using COUNTY LAND to raise cattle.. MOOOOOO |

RE: Feedlot on Peggy's Flat I personally would rather see it kept farm land instead of some new subdivision I think that Bryan Bogie has done great with the land he is even building him a house on the land |

"Bryan Bogie was allowed to build a feedlot for cows on Peggy Flats Rd, less than 1 mile from Berea City limits" Here's the deal, if it's like you say, and he is in the county, what's the problem? After reading this section I am appalled that anyone cares what any farmer in the county is doing. As for the land, $600000.00, you have gotta be kidding me, Everything the length of Peggy Flats road and a mile wide on each side is not worth that kind of money. Instead of crying about the smell, Madison County has an ordinance governing nuisances stuff, as in weeds in fence rows, smells, piled up, run down, lacking paint, etc.. Between the rules, and the state, I would think shutting this operation down would be a piece of cake. Stop writing and make the calls. The county passed these useless laws into effect, so make them enforce them. Notify the state, if the county fails to enforce the law, stop any funding until they do. |

Concerning the "Feed Lot" on Peggy Flats; there is one way to get some action. The road to the facility is a 40,000 lb. max gross road. The 18 wheelers are generally carrying around 80,000 lbs. when loaded. A complaint to the State Weight Enforcement Division could get a bunch of citations written, and then there would have to be some upgrades to the road or reduced weight traffic to the facility. I agree that the County Planning and Zoning didn't think this through very well. Continued traffic of this size and frequency will destroy the road. |

DEB, where are you? Bogey man's cows are passing gas. Whhhoooouuuueeee, we can smell it over here in Mt. Vernon. If you think it is bad out there now, wait 'til Bogey man takes off his work boots, OUCH!! His hound dog burns an old rat when the boots come off. Lucky for that ol' dog that Bogey man works day and night(according to DEB) and only has time to take them boots off once a month. Toe jam, hell he's got toe gardens. |
