Questions for Steve Connelly

For Steve Connelly:
Mayor,
I would like to make a few suggestions for the city's web page.
Under "Contact Us" the link should to point to specific contact information. Currently it points to Dale VanWinkle's email information. It is pretty much the norm these days for the viewer to hit "Contact Us" for a complete list of contact information.
Regarding the question below about employment, it is common practice to have
a link titled "Employment Opportunities" or “Come Work For Us” sections.
I am aware this information is posted in the Berea Citizen, however there could be
some fine non-local talent out there who does not read the Citizen or the Richmond Register for that matter, who could possibly be a perfect fit for a city position.
Further on, there is a link for the "City Clerk" but that goes nowhere. On the left pane under information, the default for "Contact Us" again, leads to Dale VanWinkle's email.
Clicking on the "City Manager" link leads to an employment application not contact information for the City Manager.
These are just a few of the things I have noticed. Perhaps the city could consult
with someone well versed in web content development and presentation?
There is a vast amount of information that can be placed on the site that would be
beneficial to all Berea residents.
Lastly, I am not criticizing anyone’s web development efforts here. I am merely suggesting that the city use the web space it has available to it’s maximum potential.
Thank you, Steve, for making yourself available on this site. And, thank you, Andy, for making the site available.

How about that farm at to bottom of Peachbloom. First goats, how horses too. Is it okay to farm in the city limits. I've been thinking about getting some peacocks and a pig or two to slop and some free-range chickens, they do really wandering around foraging and free range would go with that Sustainable Berea thing being pushed. Would that be legal.

How can a light be placed at the Scaffold Cane crosswalk in front of Union Church? This needs to be done before the college kids come back this fall. It is super dangerous because the light that is there is so dim you can't see when someone is crossing.
Thanks.
Answer: We will check out the crosswalk to see if it needs more light. Thanks for the suggestion....

For Steve Connelly:
Concerning the water tower's graffiti, the blue lettering was touched up a few years before the city bought the water system. It could and should have had the grafitti covered then. Since we're only talking about touching up about 30 square feet, could this graffitti, that has been on our tower for most of a decade if not more, be touched up. If for no other reason than a matter of civic pride. Respectfully, Mr Green
