For Steve Connelly:
Your response tells your thoughts about most of you answers on all subjects asked of you. “To me, a discussion implies two sides and a clash of ideas which means that an opposing view might ultimately prevail. “ It seems you don’t want to hear what anyone has to say and you are just paying lip service to us all with your answers. No need for discussion as you say. The Moist question contained more than one question and you ignored them as usual. The first line said a few questions.
Answer: You have a forum here. Why not make the case for "moist." Engage the public. Request the information... Read Full Answer

Just a few question concerning the moist issue. You have made these statements in the past and possible you can help clarify some of you responses? “I welcome a discussion of the pros and cons of the sale of alcohol in large restaurants.” Are you willing to form a committee of citizens to start the discussion? “I have heard some economic development arguments in favor of selling alcohol in large restaurants. But before I could embrace that concept, I would have to see the crime statistics from Danville, London, Corbin, Burnside, and Harrodsburg on their experience with alcohol sales in restuarants. “ Would you be willing to ask you Police Chief to call these Cities Police Departments and ask or maybe you could call the Mayor in those cities if it is not to much of a problem? “The possibility of a regulatory fee on alcohol would likely only offset the administrative costs of monitoring alcohol sales.” Maybe I just don’t understand but wouldn’t the State Alcohol Beverage Control do this function? That is what this department does. I hope you’re not just blowing smoke on this issue. There are a lot of folks want a frank honest discussion but you seem to weasel out of a straight forward answer.

For Steve Connelly:
Mayor: My question is in regards to the work being performed or the lack of work at the park on the corner of Boone and Chestnut. I believe you spoke of a time frame for completion. Trying to recall I believe it was in 60 to 90 days. I would like to know which is it, 60 or 90 days. Also is there a penalty clause in the contract if the work is not finished by an established date or was it agreed that it would take a certain amount of days to complete the project. The clock is ticking and I haven’t seen any work being performed in the past week or so. Who is in charge of keeping the project moving forward? Please post the completion date or the days that was agreed upon at the signing of the contract for completion. It is becoming an eye sore with no work being done and the job site upkeep looks second rate. Do you think it is being kept in a safe way to protect the general public? Lots of concern of the impression being presented at this point of construction.
