Turpin Drive Shooting Leads to Arrest

RICHMOND - A McKee man has been arrested after a shooting on Turpin Drive on Sunday night.

Police charged Jimmy R Skinner, age 18, Drip Rock Tower Rd, McKee, with attempted murder and wanton endangerment in connection with a shooting that occurred in the 300 block of Turpin.

At approximately 11:18 pm, police responded to reports of several shots being fired. Upon arriving police found
Sammy Isaac’s in the 300 block of Turpin Drive. Isaac’s had a single gunshot wound in his back near his neck. Two subjects had just dropped Isaacs off at 400
block of Turpin Drive.

According to police, five or six shots were fired from a vehicle driven by Skinners' girlfriend, whose infant was also in the vehicle, along with another unidentified
subject. Skinner was observed hanging out of the vehicle, aiming a firearm, police said.

Richmond police stated the victim identified Skinner as the shooter and that the suspect was possibly in the area of N. Madison Avenue.

The suspect vehicle was located at 230 N. Madison Avenue and two subjects were detained without incident, according to police.

Skinner permitted police to search his residence, waived Miranda rights, and admitting to the shooting, police said. The weapon was recovered and Skinner was charged with attempted murder and wanton endangerment.

The others are not charged in connection with the shooting at this time, police said. Isaac’s is in Critical Condition at U.K Medical Center.
