Man Seriously Injured in Bar Fight

RICHMOND - A man was sent to U.K. Medical Center Friday evening after he was seriously injured in an altercation in Richmond.

Police said the incident occurred Friday at approximately 5 p.m. when Justin Michael Ward, 30, was allegedly involved in a conflict with another patron at the bar in the Galaxy Bowling Center.

The conflict began inside, but then moved out into the parking lot, where an unidentified man hit his head on the pavement during the altercation, police said. The injured man, who was approximately 27 years old and remains unidentified by police, was transported to the U.K. Medical Center where he was listed in serious but stable condition, according to police.

Ward, of Richmond, was arrested and charged with assault second degree and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.

Theft - On 11-13-2009. In the 1000 block of West Main Street, the victim reported that his Huffy mountain bike was stolen, no suspects. Estimated loss: $ 119.00.

Shoplifting – On 11-14-2009, police charged Coty Isaacs, age 19, Richmond, KY, for Theft by Unlawful Taking under $300 after loss prevention detained her for shoplifting approximately $69.00 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart.
