Question from Mr Green
Will we really be able to enjoy a recreational facility that is being monitored by the previous owners (Parker Seal) for contamination? I believe in "striking while the iron is hot", but do we really need the potential headaches of that property? Mr Green.

Steve Connelly answered:
Mr. Green, I agree completely that the city does not need any environmental headaches. The city has hired a very respectable environmental engineering firm to evaluate the site. That firm will report on what is there and on any short or long term impacts. No decision about buying the property will be made without a good report from the environmental engineers. The city may also ask a local environmental monitoring group to review the data and comment on its implications. Thank you for your interst and concern.
