why is it that now that the city has took over the berea utilities that the bills are doubled. when it was berea college my bill was no more than$100.00 now it any where from $150.00 to over $200.00 we dont use that much electric for it be be $40.00 higher than the month before

That is a puzzle. The city is charging the same rates that Berea College did. Kentucky Utilities has imposed a small surcharge for electricty, but that should not account for your increas. I am forced to conclude that you are using more electricity. Or you may not considering the fact that sewer may be included in your bill.
